The Ronald V. Joyce Centre for the Performing Arts at Hamilton Place is an internationally acclaimed theatre with a reputation for outstanding acoustics. Directly connected to the Hamilton Convention Centre it can be used for special presentations, opening and closing ceremonies, entertainment programming and various meeting requirements.
GREAT HALL
The mainstay of Hamilton Place is the Great Hall -- one of North America's most expansive, acoustically superior halls. It is unique in that it functions as a proscenium theatre and concert hall, and is specially designed to deliver optimal acoustical results for each of the performing arts, providing clarity and brilliance for both the spoken work and musical presentations.
While the Great Hall seats 2,193, a more intimate group can easily gather close to the stage area and enjoy the dramatic beauty the Hall has to offer. At maximum the facility can accommodate 1,193 on the orchestra level, 560 in the first balcony and 428 in the second balcony. |
